Dakota Hudson Bombs As Cards Get Swept

St. Louis Cardinals starter Dakota Hudson lasted only 1/3 of an inning in Game 4 of the NLCS, allowing seven runs as the Cardinals were eliminated by the Nationals. Hudson was on the ropes early, then an error in the infield coupled with miscommunication in the outfield leading to a dropped fly ball and the flood gates burst open. Just like that, the Cardinals hopes of extending the season were soured. All in all, it was a breakout campaign for the 25-year-old. This performance will sting but Hudson heads into the offseason going 16-7 with a 3.35 ERA in the regular season.
