Melvin Gordon, Austin Ekeler To Split Carries Sunday

Los Angeles Chargers running backs Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler are expected to split the workload in Week 5 against the Broncos. "I think it will be a lot of me and Austin flipping -- me going in, and then him going in -- flip-flopping. We'll be splitting the ball a lot," Gordon said. Gordon didn't have a single game last year where he carried the ball 20 times, and head coach Anthony Lynn said that Gordon isn't ready to handle the full workload as a No. 1 running back after his lengthy contract holdout. Expect both backs to split up the touches. Ekeler is an RB2, while Gordon is more of an RB2/3 as the Bolts work him back into the fold.
