Kris Bryant, Javier Baez Not Expected to Have Surgery
Kris Bryant (ankle) and shortstop Javier Baez (thumb) are not expected to have surgery this offseason. Both players were forced to miss time down the stretch of the season. Bryant is dealing with a moderate ankle sprain, but that should heal quickly over the winter. Baez suffered a hairline fracture in the thumb, which made it difficult to bat. Baez should be ready to play in spring training, assuming he doesn't suffer any setbacks. Both players should be top tier fantasy options for the 2020 season.
