Brandon Workman Nails Down 14th Save

Boston Red Sox relief pitcher Brandon Workman struck out one and walked one to earn his 14th save in Sunday's 6-3 win over Philadelphia. Four of his last five appearances have resulted in a save, and he hasn't allowed a run over his last seven innings pitched. This is all a bit of a late revelation for the Sox to finally find their closer, as they needed one for the first four-plus months of the season. He'll look to finish off his career year, where he is already 9-1 with a 2.04 ERA, 14 saves, 94/41 K/BB, and a 1.03 WHIP over 66 1/3 innings.
