Jake Lamb Starting Rehab Assignment

Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Jake Lamb (quadriceps) is starting his rehab assignment for Triple-A Reno. He'll play first base, serve as the designated hitter and then play third base. Lamb has been out since April 3 after playing in only 56 games due to injury in 2018. He had 59 homers in two seasons prior to that, though, so there is pop in his left-handed bat, he just needs to get healthy and find regular playing time. With Christian Walker cooling off of late, Lamb could return from the injured list and at least serve in a platoon role with Walker. Keep Lamb on your radar in deep mixed leagues if you need some power.
