Daniel Hudson Goes From Halos To The Jays
The Los Angeles Angels released pitcher Daniel Hudson and he has quickly caught on with the Toronto Blue Jays. Manager Charlie Montoyo said on Monday that a deal for Hudson is done, and that he will be included on the Opening Day roster. Infielder Devon Travis (knee) was placed on the 60-day injured list to make room for Hudson on the 40-man roster. Hudson has bounced around a bit, pitching in the majors for three different organizations over the past three seasons. He posted a 3-2 record with a 4.11 ERA and 1.22 WHIP over 40 appearances in 46 innings with the Dodgers last season. He'll be a bullpen arm who can rack up occasional holds. He also had 44 strikeouts in 46 innings, so he helps those in deeper fantasy leagues which use true middle relievers.
