Andrew Heaney Battling Elbow Inflammation

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim starting pitcher Andrew Heaney (elbow) is battling elbow inflammation, and the team pushed him back from his next Cactus League spring start Sunday, using pitcher Daniel Hudson instead. Heaney did say he was able to throw Saturday and Sunday, including a long-toss session from 120 feet on Sunday, so it doesn't sound terribly serious, and he will not even have an MRI. Heaney is scheduled for a bullpen session on Monday, too, and if he makes that session without issue, all will be well. Still, we've seen this movie before, as elbow inflammation in spring forced him to the injured list to start the 2018 campaign. When healthy, Heaney should start coming off the board in the middle rounds in mixed fantasy drafts.
