New York Rangers defenseman Brady Skjei registered two goals with a plus-1 rating, two blocked shots and a minor penalty across 21:17 of ice time over 30 shifts in Sunday's 6-5 overtime loss against the Washington Capitals. It was Skjei's first multi-goal game of his NHL career. The 24-year-old Minnesota native has also lit the lamp in consecutive contests in his career. He'll look to make it three games in a row against the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday. Skjei appears to be a big part of the defensemen corps for the rebuilding Blueshirts.--Daniel Dobish
