The San Diego Padres are engaged with the Cleveland Indians in trade talks surrounding starting pitcher Corey Kluber, according to sources. However, one person with knowledge of the talks doesn't think the Padres have passed the Dodgers as the favorites for Kluber yet. Cleveland's return in the deal with San Diego could include one or more from a group of outfielders Manuel Margot and Hunter Renfroe and catcher Austin Hedges. The Tribe would also likely obtain a prospect, although shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. and left-hander Mackenzie Gore -- the team's top two prospects -- aren't expected to be included. Petco Park would be a great landing spot for Kluber, a perennial Cy Young contender, but he'd obviously have much more fantasy value on a winning team like the Dodgers. The Indians have a huge need for outfielders and a catcher after losing Yan Gomes earlier this offseason.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
