The Los Angeles Angels have released right-hander Alex Meyer. The big right-hander missed the entire 2018 season and suffered a setback in his rehab, putting his preparedness for spring training in question. Meyer posted a 3.74 ERA and 1.33 WHIP with 75 strikeouts in 67 2/3 innings in 2017, and represents a nice gamble for teams in need of starting pitching depth.--patton
