Detroit Red Wings goaltender Jonathan Bernier stopped 49 of the 52 shots that he faced while keeping Detroit in a game they would eventually come back to win. After letting three goals slip by him in the first two periods, Bernier stopped all 21 of Carolina's shots in the third period. Saturday was Bernier's best outing of the season as he recorded a season-high for saves (49) and save percentage (.942). Bernier has been able to occasionally flash brilliance between the pipes throughout his career but with a .891 save percentage this season and limited usage behind Jimmy Howard, he is not a name you need to remember even when he gets the occasional start.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
