Danny Salazar Could Resume Throwing In November
Danny Salazar (shoulder) could resume throwing in November after having right shoulder surgery in July. He'll initially be built up as a starter, but he could be asked to pitch in relief depending on the team's needs. Salazar did not pitch at all this year after going 5-6 with a 4.28 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and career-high 12.7 K/9 in 23 outings (19 starts) in 2017. He has plenty of strikeout upside (career 10.5 K/9), but he'll need to prove his health to return to fantasy relevance in 2019. He won't have much value if he's pitching out of the bullpen again.
