Hideki Matsuyama’s frustrating season continued as he struggled to make an impact at Firestone. The defending champion tread water all week and finished T39. Matsuyama struggled on the greens, losing three strokes to the field over the four days. Matsuyama will hope to break his major duck at this week’s PGA Championship. Matsuyama has an excellent record at the event having never missed the cut. Matsuyama has recorded top-five finishes in the last two years at the PGA Championship.--Gianni
