New York Mets infielder T.J. Rivera (elbow) has been diagnosed with a strain, meaning there is damage to his UCL. Rivera is coming off of Tommy John surgery and this diagnosis does not help his chances of returning anytime soon. He has received a platelet-rich plasma injection and is currently shut down, but Rivera's ongoing elbow issues could keep him out for an extended period of time.--Dan Fappiano
