J.P. Crawford Works Out Friday

Philadelphia Phillies shortstop J.P. Crawford (hand) fielded ground balls and caught the ball on Friday. Crawford has yet to hit in 57 games over the last two years in the majors, and he's batting just .194 with two home runs and eight RBI in 34 games with the Phils this year. Crawford isn't a lock for everyday playing time when he returns from the disabled list. Infielder Pedro Florimon (foot) isn't far behind Crawford and is a couple of days from taking grounders and hitting. He's another option to play shortstop for the Phils and split time with Crawford when he's ready to return.
