Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Carlos Gomez has been activated from the disabled list Saturday. Gomez had been struggling prior to hitting the DL. In 156 plate appearances, he has a .200 batting average, five home runs and three stolen bases. After Denard Span was traded to the Seattle Mariners Gomez should be an every day player in the outfield for the Rays. He will need to perform much better to have any value in shallow mixed leagues. On Saturday Gomez is hitting eighth which limits his value in DFS formats.--Ben Rolfe
