New York Mets third baseman Todd Frazier is first eligible to be activated from the disabled list on Friday, but he doesn’t expect to be ready by then. Frazier has been on the disabled list since May 8 with a left hamstring strain, and it sounds as though we’ll be waiting a big longer for his return to Queens. He didn’t offer up any timetable for when he thinks he’ll be healthy enough to come back, but one would think it’s not that far away. Frazier cooled off after enjoying a hot start to 2018, but still has a .237/.357/.412 slash line with five home runs, 18 runs scored, 21 RBI, and three stolen bases across 32 games this season. The Mets will continue to use a committee featuring Jose Reyes, Wilmer Flores, and Luis Guillorme at the hot corner in Frazier’s absence.--John Smith
