Cincinnati Reds left-hander Brandon Finnegan struggled against the Miami Marlins on Sunday. Finnegan allowed five runs in 3 1/3 innings of work, striking out two and walking three. The young southpaw really labored through the first inning, needing 29 pitches to record his first out of the game. Not surprisingly, he took the loss, with his record dropping to 0-3 on the season. Finnegan opened the season on the disabled list with a strained biceps and has struggled in his five starts since being activated, posting an 8.27 ERA and an ugly 14/15 K/BB ratio in 20 2/3 innings of work. Finnegan has plenty of potential but he is going to need to command the strike zone better or he could find himself out of the starting rotation.--Matt T - RotoBaller
