Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Joe Biagini is now confirmed to start Game 2 of Thursday’s doubleheader against the Cleveland Indians. Biagini made one start for Toronto recently, April 17 against the Kansas City Royals, lasting 5 2/3 innings and allowing three earned runs on six hits and three walks with four strikeouts. Biagini has very good stuff but has struggled in Triple-A to the tune of a 5.17 ERA and 1.59 WHIP. He’s a much better pitcher than that and should show it if and when he gets more starts for the Blue Jays down the line this season.--John Smith
