Carter Jensen 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Rookie Royal Looking to Build off Big 2025 Season
In case you missed it, Carter Jensen put together an impressive 2025 season between Double-A, Triple-A, and the Majors. After slashing .290/.377/.501 with 20 home runs and 10 steals in 111 minor league games, Jensen swatted an additional three home runs in 20 Major League games with a .300/.391/.550 slash line. While everyone is gushing over Samuel Basallo, keep in mind that Jensen's upside is nearly as high. He absolutely pummelled the ball in Triple-A and the Majors last season, posting a hard-hit rate above 58% at both levels. Over a full season, Jensen could eclipse 20 homers as a rookie catcher, especially if he gets a decent chunk of time at DH as well. Don't be surprised if Jensen adds 5-10 steals as well, as he's always shown the willingness to be aggressive on the basepaths. You're probably not drafting him as your starting catcher, but the upside is worth taking a shot on as your second catcher who is capable of returning Top-10 value this season.
