Rafael Devers 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: New Home And Position Change Invite Discount
San Francisco Giants first baseman Rafael Devers put together another fantasy-friendly season in 2025, ending with a line of .252-35-109-99-1. His .252 batting average was below what we have come to expect from him, but the totals in the counting categories (stolen bases excepted) were his highest since 2021. Devers hit just .236 as a Giant after the Red Sox sent him to San Francisco in a mid-June trade. Additionally, his strikeout and whiff rates increased for the fourth consecutive year, to the highest of his career (except for the shortened 2020 season). Still, Devers was hitting the ball as hard as ever, barrelling the ball at a career-high 16% rate and ranking in the 97th percentile in hard-hit rate and average exit velocity. Concern over his production in pitcher-friendly Oracle Park and a position change mean Devers' draft cost is lower than in years past. Once one of the most coveted third basemen on the market, Devers is now listed only at first base. Currently, his NFBC ADP is 51.0, slightly ahead of his position in RotoBaller's early rankings at 58 overall. Fantasy managers still finding him that late in drafts would be wise to pounce on him as the position dries up shortly after he is gone.
