Mike McDaniel a Perfect Fit to Run Eagles Offense?
The Philadelphia Eagles fired offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo on Tuesday after a disastrous first season as the team's coordinator in 2025. The Philadelphia Inquirer's David Murphy thinks that former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel would be the perfect guy to replace Patullo. McDaniel initially made the Dolphins' offense pretty scary with all the speed they had, but they collapsed this year, and it didn't help that they lost receiver Tyreek Hill (knee) early in the year. Despite being fired by Miami, McDaniel is still considered one of the brightest offensive minds in the league, and he'd certainly have plenty of shiny toys to play with in the Eagles' offense. The problem for Philly is that McDaniel is also a candidate for open head-coaching jobs around the NFL this cycle.
