Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 16:
James Cook, RB, Bills
Buffalo Bills running back James Cook put up a dominant performance in his team's critical Week 15 win over its division rival, the New England Patriots, on Sunday. Cook recorded 22 carries for 107 yards and two touchdowns, and two receptions for four yards and a score. The 26-year-old has now racked up 1,686 yards from scrimmage and 12 touchdowns on 302 touches across 14 games this season. Cook has topped 100 scrimmage yards in five straight games and 11 out of 14 total contests in 2025.
He also continues to dominate backfield touches in Buffalo, logging 22 of the team's 26 rushing attempts by running backs in Week 15. Cook profiles as a must-start fantasy running back heading into a Week 16 matchup against the Cleveland Browns.
Courtland Sutton, WR, Broncos
Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton heads into Week 16 action as the WR11 in half-PPR scoring with 63 catches on 100 targets for 886 yards and six touchdowns in 14 games. He has scored two of his six TDs in the last three weeks, and he's also had back-to-back 10-target games. In Sunday's 34-26 win over the Green Bay Packers, the 30-year-old had seven receptions for 113 yards and a touchdown.
It was only the second time in 2025 that Sutton went over 100 yards receiving, and it happened to come with rookie wideout Pat Bryant (hamstring) inactive. Quarterback Bo Nix has spread the ball around pretty evenly this year, but he could start latching onto Sutton more down the stretch. Sutton could lose targets if Bryant makes his return this Sunday versus the visiting Jaguars, but fantasy managers should still consider Sutton a WR2 as Denver's best receiving option.
Samaje Perine, RB, Bengals
Since returning in Week 13 from an ankle injury that caused him to miss two games, Cincinnati Bengals running back Samaje Perine has recorded 135 scrimmage yards on 38 touches across three contests. While Bengals back Chase Brown remains the lead rusher in Cincinnati, Perine plays a third-down role that has led to a consistent snap share this season. He's played at least 37% of Cincinnati's offensive snaps in every game since returning from injury, giving him a chance at standalone fantasy value every week.
Still, Perine's main utility for fantasy managers is as a handcuff option to Brown. If Brown were to go down over the final weeks of the season, Perine would likely dominate backfield snaps in Cincinnati. In fantasy leagues with 12 or more teams, Perine is worth targeting on the waiver wire and stashing in a bench spot.
Keon Coleman, WR, Bills
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman was kept off the stat sheet in a Week 15 win over the Patriots, and has now caught a total of four passes for 25 yards in his three games since returning from a very public benching.
He managed to convert one of those grabs into a touchdown, masking just how bad it's been of late, but he should now be viewed as unplayable in just about all formats, while his dynasty value is at an all-time low. Still only 22 years old and tied to a perennial MVP candidate, this could be viewed as a buy-low opportunity. Unfortunately, he's shown very little to suggest that his value won't stay low for the foreseeable future.
