Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 16:
Ceedee Lamb, WR, Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (illness) was under the weather on Wednesday and did not practice, according to Clarence Hill Jr. of All City Dallas. Lamb isn't feeling well to begin the practice week, but he should be just fine for Sunday's Week 16 game against the visiting Los Angeles Chargers, where he'll remain a must-start fantasy football receiver.
The 26-year-old four-time Pro Bowler hasn't been quite as good as teammate George Pickens in 2025, but he's been a top-10 fantasy wideout in terms of half-PPR points per game (14.7). In his 10 games played, Lamb has 63 receptions on 99 targets for 976 yards and three touchdowns. He's had over 100 receiving yards in each of the last three games and should reach the 1,000-yard mark for the fifth straight season.
Matthew Golden, WR, Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Matthew Golden has mostly had an underwhelming rookie season to this point, recording 27 catches for 341 yards on 37 targets across 11 games. The 22-year-old has not played more than 37% of Green Bay's offensive snaps in any game since Week 8. However, Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (chest) suffered a chest injury in Week 15 that has his status for the team's Week 16 matchup against the Chicago Bears in question.
If Watson is sidelined, Golden could have an opportunity for increased playing time. In Week 15, three of Golden's four targets and two of his three receptions came after Watson exited the game. In PPR fantasy leagues with 12 or more teams where Golden remains available, he should be added off the waiver wire and stashed until more information is known about Watson's injury status.
Ricky Pearsall, WR, San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall (knee, ankle) aggravated his PCL injury in the Week 15 win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday and also sprained his ankle, according to David Lombardi of The San Francisco Standard. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said he's unsure if Pearsall will practice this week as the team prepares to face the Indianapolis Colts on Monday night in Week 16.
The 25-year-old former first-rounder will have an extra day to recover this week, but based on the fact that he missed six games earlier this year after spraining his PCL initially in Week 4, it seems highly unlikely that Pearsall will be cleared to play on Monday. It's really bad timing for Pearsall and his fantasy managers, as he caught six of seven targets for 96 yards in the win over the Titans on Sunday while battling through his knee injury and a low-ankle sprain. If Pearsall misses additional time, Kendrick Bourne could be on the flex radar again in deeper fantasy leagues behind Jauan Jennings.
Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Arizona Cardinals
Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said that wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. (heel) will take part in the team's walkthrough practice on Wednesday, per Tyler Drake of Arizona Sports. Harrison has missed the last two games with a heel injury, but Gannon said he's doing "good." The 23-year-old former first-rounder is expected to play again this year, possibly as soon as this Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 16. Harrison has missed four of the last five games with his heel injury, and after undergoing an appendectomy.
The Ohio State product has not lived up to his fourth overall draft slot through almost two full NFL seasons. When healthy in 2025, Harrison has been inconsistent with 40 catches, 594 yards, and four touchdowns in 10 games. If Harrison returns this weekend, though, he'll be on the WR2 radar in Arizona's pass-happy offense. We'll continue to keep a close eye on his status over the next two days. UPDATE: Harrison was limited in his return to practice on Wednesday.
Rome Odunze, WR, Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze (foot) missed another practice on Wednesday, according to Scott Bair of the Marquee Sports Network. Odunze also missed Tuesday's session and looks to be on track to miss a third straight game due to a stress fracture in his foot. Head coach Ben Johnson hinted earlier this week that the 23-year-old second-year pass-catcher could be shut down in the final three weeks of the regular season so that the team can have him closer to full strength for the playoffs.
After a strong start to the season, Odunze has been a disappointment to fantasy managers in the second half, and he's likely to be ruled out for Saturday's divisional tilt against the Green Bay Packers unless he returns to practice on Thursday. Rookie Luther Burden III (ankle) has yet to practice this week, either, so Olamide Zaccheaus and Devin Duvernay, in addition to rookie tight end Colston Loveland, could be in for bigger roles this weekend behind DJ Moore if both Odunze and Burden cannot play.
