Joe Sloan Expected to be Kentucky's New Offensive Coordinator
According to Matt Zanitz of CBS, former LSU offensive coordinator Joe Sloan is expected to be hired by Kentucky as its new offensive coordinator. It's unclear whether Sloan or new head coach Will Stein will call plays at this time. Sloan led LSU to the No. 2 passing offense in the SEC in 2024, but the Tigers regressed mightily in 2025, ranking last in the conference in yards per game (332.7) and rushing yards per game (106.3). The 38-year-old began his coaching career at South Florida in 2012 as a quality control assistant and held various roles on the Louisiana Tech coaching staff before becoming LSU's quarterback coach in 2022.
