Brian Daboll a Candidate for Penn State Head Coach?
According to On3.com, former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll could be a new target for the Penn State head-coaching job. The Nittany Lions have struck out on several candidates in recent days, and despite firing James Franklin early in the 2025 season, they are still without a head coach. Daboll was recently let go by the Giants following a 2-8 start this year, and he finished his Giants career with a 20-40 record and one playoff win. The 50-year-old has spent most of his time in the NFL, but he worked as Nick Saban's offensive coordinator at Alabama in 2017 before leaving to run the offense for the Buffalo Bills. Despite his lack of NFL head-coaching success, Daboll is known as a strong offensive mind, and given the mess that is the Penn State coaching search right now, he could be a strong hire.
