Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 13:
Colby Parkinson, TE, Rams
Los Angeles Rams tight end Colby Parkinson has scored in three consecutive games and has been a real piece of the offense, playing 61.9% of the offensive snaps and totaling 10 receptions (11 targets) for 96 yards and three touchdowns. Parkinson ranks as the TE3 in total PPR points (37.6) in that span. The 26-year-old has taken advantage of his opportunity with Tyler Higbee (ankle) on injured reserve, posting the third-highest route share (39.6%) on the team behind Davante Adams and Puka Nacua in Weeks 10 through 12.
He hit a season high of 50% in Week 12, and that number could tick up more with how productive he's been. Head coach Sean McVay has expressed the desire to get rookie tight end Terrance Ferguson more involved, but that hasn't happened just yet. Fantasy managers desperate for tight end production could look at Parkinson for Week 13. He ranks as RotoBaller's TE27 in PPR formats.
Dalton Kincaid, TE, Bills
Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid (hamstring) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice session, according to the team. Kincaid opened the week as a DNP on Wednesday, but was upgraded to limited on Thursday, which potentially puts him in a position to return in Week 13 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 26-year-old tight end hasn't played since injuring his hamstring during Buffalo's Week 10 loss at the Miami Dolphins, but has been improving in his recovery.
Head coach Sean McDermott said earlier this week that "there's a chance" that Kincaid returns this Sunday, and we'll know more about his status after Friday's practice. Kincaid would provide a major lift to a Bills passing attack that has struggled lately, and he'd slot back in as a borderline TE1 for Week 13 if he can play.
George Kittle, TE, 49ers
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle totaled six receptions for 78 yards on 10 targets in a Monday night win over the Carolina Panthers. Kittle led the 49ers in both targets and receiving yards in the win. Outside of zero catch performance in his first game returning from his early-season hamstring injury in Week 7 against the Falcons, the superstar tight end has been as advertised as an early-round pick for fantasy managers.
In the other five games, including Monday night, he's racked up 29 catches for 304 yards and four touchdowns on 34 targets, good for an average of 16.6 PPR points per game. The 32-year-old will again profile as a top-three tight end option in Week 13 against the Cleveland Browns.
Pat Freiermuth, TE, Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth caught all three of his targets for 19 receiving yards and a touchdown in a Week 12 loss to the Chicago Bears. The 27-year-old secured Mason Rudolph's lone passing score, a three-yard strike in the fourth quarter. Though Freiermuth ranks second on the Steelers in receiving yards and touchdowns, he's fifth in targets, trailing DK Metcalf (ankle), Kenneth Gainwell, Calvin Austin III, and Jonnu Smith.
Even with Aaron Rodgers (wrist) expected back in Week 13, Freiermuth can't be trusted for fantasy purposes, especially against a Buffalo Bills defense that has shut down opposing tight ends this season.
