Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks

Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 12:

Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts Sr. logged his second straight two-catch performance in Week 11's 30-27 overtime loss to the Panthers after catching at least three passes in each of his first eight games of the season. It would seem his involvement is trending downward; however, wide receiver Drake London (knee) will likely miss Week 12, which could be a boon to his target potential. When London missed Week 8 with an injury, Pitts garnered a team-high nine targets, converting all of them into receptions, albeit for just 59 yards.

The other good news is that Kirk Cousins was under center for that contest, and Cousins will again be the starter for the Week 12 road matchup against the Saints. Expectations should be tempered, though, as Pitts recorded one catch or fewer in five contests with Cousins at the helm last year. There is a wide range of outcomes for the 6-foot-6 tight end in this week's game, but he will still likely be a low-end TE1 on Sunday.

Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz has been extremely consistent this season, getting plenty of volume for PPR leagues. He has at least five catches in seven of his last eight games and has 20 targets from backup QB Davis Mills over the last two weeks. Mills will make another start against the Bills on Thursday Night Football with C.J. Stroud (concussion) still sidelined.

The Bills have allowed the fewest fantasy points per game to tight ends this season, so it's a tough spot for Schultz, despite his regular production. RotoBaller has Schlutz ranked as the No. 12 TE this week, making him a fringe starter in standard-sized leagues and a great TE2. He has more value in leagues where his number of receptions can help him compensate for low yardage totals.

Colston Loveland, Chicago Bears

Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland has seen his role in the offense increase lately, playing at least 60% of the snaps in all but one game since their Week 5 bye. Loveland had his breakout game in Week 9 against the Bengals, catching six of seven targets for 118 yards and two touchdowns. The production has been more modest in the past two weeks, with seven catches for 95 yards on eight targets, but he posted a 75.3% snap share in Week 11 against the Vikings, his highest in a game this season with Cole Kmet active.

That number was still a tick behind Kmet for the week, with him playing 78.1% of the snaps, so he isn't overtaking Kmet necessarily, but Chicago used more two-tight-end sets to get them both on the field. The 10th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft has looked dynamic with his opportunities this season and should continue to see more reps, but it is still a crowded offense that will run the ball a lot. Loveland is a great player to roster because of his talent and increased role, but is still tough to trust in lineups for now.

Brock Wright, Detroit Lions

Detroit Lions tight end Brock Wright (ankle) immediately slotted in as a full-time player in Week 11, with Sam LaPorta (back) placed on Injured Reserve. Wright played 83.1% of the snaps and ran 59% of the routes, finishing with two catches for eight yards on a career high seven targets against the Eagles.

The Lions' offense struggled collectively, with Jared Goff completing just 37.8% of his passes. Wright was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to an ankle injury, so that will be something to monitor in the coming days. But it is positive to see Wright get the role and usage in LaPorta's absence, and he is set to be a consistent piece of one of the league's best offenses for the next handful of games. Assuming he plays in Week 12 against the Giants, Wright could be a streaming option for fantasy managers in need of a bye week replacement.

George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle had a vintage game in Week 11, recording six catches for 67 yards and two touchdowns on six targets in his team's 41-22 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Kittle showed off his established chemistry with 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, who made his first start since Week 4.

The 32-year-old Kittle has now hauled in 27 catches for 251 yards and five touchdowns on 30 targets across six games played this season. He's heating up of late, recording 15 receptions for 151 yards and three scores over the last two weeks. Kittle profiles as a must-start tight end heading into a Week 12 matchup against the Carolina Panthers.
