Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 11:
Jake Ferguson, TE, Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson had a solid game in his final outing before the team's Week 10 bye, recording five catches for 50 yards on seven targets in a Week 9 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. However, the 26-year-old's target volume has tailed off in recent weeks after a scorching start to the season.
Across the first five weeks of 2025, Ferguson was averaging 9.6 targets per game. From Weeks 6 through 9, Ferguson averaged 4.5 targets per contest. That drop-off coincided with the return of star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb to the lineup, who had three-plus games in the middle of the season with a high-ankle sprain.
Coming out of the bye, Ferguson could continue to lose targets to Lamb and Cowboys wideout George Pickens. Ferguson may still be a useful fantasy tight end, but he's more reliant on touchdowns now than he was earlier in the year.
Kyle Pitts, TE, Atlanta Falcons
That could be this week against the Panthers, a defense that has yielded the eighth-most half-point PPR points to opposing tight ends thus far, including five touchdowns.
Hopefully the 6-foot-6 tight end doesn't drop any passes that could go for big gains like he did last week, and hopefully Michael Penix Jr.'s accuracy improves, but on his typical target volume alone, he projects as a low-end TE1 on Sunday with upside if he can fine the end zone.
Oronde Gadsden, TE, Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers rookie tight end Oronde Gadsden is healthy heading into Week 11 despite suffering a knee contusion last week. Even though he left the game in the third quarter, Gadsden remains one of Justin Herbert's most trusted red-zone options, with 10 targets inside the 20-yard line over the past five games.
The matchup this week is excellent, as the Jacksonville Jaguars rank 5th in receptions allowed and are tied for second in touchdowns allowed to tight ends.
His combination of size (6'5") and red-zone usage makes Gadsden a reliable play. He is a confident mid-range TE1 with legitimate upside, projected as the TE4 this week.
David Njoku, TE, Cleveland Browns
Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku scored his third touchdown of the season in a Week 10 loss to the New York Jets. It was a quiet game for Njoku other than that, however, as he only finished with two catches for 21 yards in the loss. He will look to carve out a larger role for himself in a Week 11 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens at home.
The Ravens have been stout against tight ends this season, allowing just the 22nd-most fantasy points per game to the position. Njoku popped up on the injury report with a limited session on Wednesday but it was just a veteran rest day as he is listed without an injury designation heading into the weekend.
The emergence of rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr. has capped Njoku's ceiling in the Cleveland offense, leaving him as a mid-range TE2 heading into Week 11.
Luke Musgrave, TE, Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave continues to sit atop the team's depth chart, but he has failed to fill the void left by Tucker Kraft (knee).
Kraft suffered a season-ending ACL tear in Week 9, but Musgrave has just six catches for 57 yards over his last two games. The 25-year-old has not even been a fantasy-relevant streamer, let alone the mid-to-high TE1 that Kraft was when healthy.
A Week 11 matchup against the New York Giants could help Musgrave's stock, but he's still a non-factor in most fantasy leagues. Managers can leave him on waivers and should look elsewhere for mid-season help at the tight end position.
