Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 11:
Baker Mayfield, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield completed 28 of his 43 pass attempts for 273 passing yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions during Sunday's Week 10 loss against the New England Patriots. He also took two sacks in the defeat.
Mayfield played a solid, clean game, but it wasn't enough to hold off the surging Patriots. This showdown between potential MVP candidates in Mayfield and Drake Maye lived up to the hype, as the two combined for 543 passing yards and five total touchdowns.
Moving forward, the Bucs' signal caller will continue to rank as a strong QB1 in fantasy football. He takes on the Buffalo Bills in Week 11.
Joe Flacco, QB, Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco (shoulder) will not throw at practice on Wednesday as the team takes a cautious approach with him while he manages an AC joint sprain. Flacco suffered the injury in the Bengals' Week 8 win over the New York Jets and didn't seem to be affected by it the next week against the Bears, completing 31 of 47 passes for a career high 470 yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions.
The 40-year-old has thrived as Cincinnati's starting quarterback after the Bengals acquired him from the Browns ahead of their Week 6 matchup against the Packers. Flacco is the QB2 in PPR points per game since then, averaging 24.9 points per game. The Bengals' poor defense fuels high-scoring game environments, and he's been distributing the ball efficiently to his elite wide receiver duo in Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. If Flacco is unable to go, Jake Browning would be in line to start.
The Bengals also opened the 21-day practice window for starting quarterback Joe Burrow (toe) on Monday, and he's targeting a return on Thanksgiving night against the Ravens, which would give Flacco two more starts for Cincinnati.
Jacoby Brissett, QB, Arizona Cardinals
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett has posted solid numbers since moving into the starting role, and he'll keep the starting job while Kyler Murray (foot) spends at least the next three weeks on IR. Brissett has thrown for over 250 yards in each of his four starts and has thrown for exactly two touchdowns in each outing.
He added a touchdown run as well in the team's win over the Cowboys in Week 9, and in Week 10, he threw for 258 passing yards on 44 pass attempts against the Seahawks. Coach Jonathan Gannon has shown plenty of trust in Brissett to air it out, and this week, he has a favorable matchup against the 49ers.
San Francisco has allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season, so Brissett is definitely worth a look as a streaming option or as a QB2 in Week 11.
Aaron Rodgers, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers struggled in a Week 10 loss, completing 16 of his 31 pass attempts for 161 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Fortunately, he is poised to bounce back at home against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11.
Although the Steelers lost to the Bengals on the road back in Week 7, Rodgers went off for 249 yards and four touchdowns.
With Pittsburgh favored and Cincinnati surrendering the fourth-most fantasy points per contest to opposing signal-callers, Rodgers is back on the fantasy radar as a high-end QB2 and quality streaming option on Sunday.
J.J. McCarthy, Minnesota Vikings
Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy (hand) was officially limited in practice on Wednesday, according to Alec Lewis of The Athletic. McCarthy had some swelling in his right throwing hand after hitting it on a helmet during Sunday's loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
While the second-year signal-caller may be a bit limited in practice this week as a result, he's fully expected to play this Sunday against the Chicago Bears in Week 11. The 22-year-old former first-rounder finished 20-for-42 passing for a career-high 248 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions in the Week 10 loss to the Ravens. McCarthy started strong but struggled to put drives together after the first quarter.
He has shown upside in his first four NFL games in 2025 after missing all of 2024 with a knee injury. However, fantasy managers hoping for more for the rest of this year must be willing to live with the ups and downs as he continues to develop.
