Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football waiver wire outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider adding off waivers in Week 10:
Darius Slayton, WR, New York Giants
New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton finished Week 9's loss to the 49ers with five catches on seven targets for a team-high 62 receiving yards. It was also his best personal total of the year as he continues to work as one of rookie Jaxson Dart's top receivers.
He came close to an even better game, but he couldn't quite haul in a 34-yard touchdown on a great throw from Dart. Slayton missed two games with a hamstring injury, but he has at least four targets in each of his last five games, going back to before the injury. He will likely remain one of the top targets in the offense against the Bears in Week 10.
Darius Slayton can be a deep-league addition from the waiver wire if you need a receiver who should continue to get chances even in an offense that doesn't always rack up lots of passing yards.
Chimere Dike, WR, Tennessee Titans
Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver Chimere Dike recorded a 67-yard punt return for a touchdown in Week 9 but was otherwise held in check, finishing the game with one catch for five yards on three targets.
Dike had recorded 11 catches for 163 yards and a touchdown over his last two games heading into the week, so his Week 9 production was a bit of a letdown for fantasy managers. Still, the 23-year-old's playing time is trending in the right direction, as he's now played at least 87% of Tennessee's offensive snaps in each of its last two games.
The rookie appears to be emerging as a key weapon for Titans quarterback Cameron Ward. Tennessee's overall struggles as an offense limit Dike's fantasy ceiling, but he should still be rostered in all leagues with 12 or more teams as the Titans hit their Week 10 bye.
Olamide Zaccheaus, WR, Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus had his best game of the season in his team's 47-42 Week 9 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, recording six catches for 58 yards and a touchdown on eight targets. The 28-year-old has now hauled in 31 receptions for 243 yards and a score on 46 targets.
Most notably, 15 of Zaccheaus' targets have come over the last two weeks. That uptick in production appears to be directly linked to the absence of Luther Burden III (concussion), who suffered a concussion early in Week 8 and was sidelined in Week 9.
If Burden III remains sidelined in Week 10 for Chicago's matchup against the New York Giants, Zaccheaus could once again play a key role in his team's offense. Zaccheaus should be a waiver-wire target for fantasy managers in PPR-scoring leagues with 12 or more teams.
Isaiah Davis, RB, New York Jets
New York Jets running back Isaiah Davis is currently rostered in only 14% of Yahoo leagues and is the clear backup to starter Breece Hall. However, Hall's name has been heavily mentioned in trade rumors, and there could be a 50-50 chance that he's dealt by Tuesday's 4 p.m. trade deadline.
If Hall is shipped out of town, Davis would have a clear path to lead-back duties for the Jets. Fantasy managers looking for upgrades at the RB position who have room to spare on their roster may want to consider adding the 23-year-old off the waiver wire in case Hall is traded on Tuesday.
Davis had a season-high seven rushing attempts in the Week 8 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, gaining 65 yards while also catching a season-high five passes for 44 yards. Hall had been bothered by a knee injury leading up to that game, but even if Hall isn't traded, Davis' role could expand in his change-of-pace role for the second half of the year.
Andrei Iosivas, WR, Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas caught five of his seven targets for 66 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's thrilling 47-42 loss to the Chicago Bears. Iosivas has had a relatively quiet season as the Bengals' WR3, but has played a role in the offense over the last five weeks with at least three targets in each of those games.
The 26-year-old didn't catch any of his three targets in last week's loss to the Jets, but recorded a similar five-catch for 82 yards on seven targets performance in Week 5 against the Lions when Jake Browning was still the starter. Iosivas has also notched at least one reception in all but one game this season.
The Bengals' offense has been humming with 41-year-old Joe Flacco as the starter, and on days like Sunday when Flacco attempts 47 passes, there will be opportunities for Iosivas to make plays.
