Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football waiver wire outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider adding off waivers in Week 6:
Kendrick Bourne, WR, San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne caught 10 of his 11 targets for 142 yards during Thursday's Week 5 win over the Los Angeles Rams in overtime. The 30-year-old took on a massive role with Jauan Jennings (ankle, ribs) and Ricky Pearsall (knee) sidelined, and he showed that he was up for the task as his reception total jumped from one last week to 10 this week.
Meanwhile, the veteran's 24.2 fantasy points (PPR) were the most he has scored in a single game since Week 1 of the 2023 season, when he was with the New England Patriots. Some managers in deeper leagues started Bourne on Thursday, so while his big game was a surprise, it still impacted plenty of fantasy football matchups.
Bourne will head back to a depth role once Jennings and Pearsall are healthy again. For now, he's not a reliable fantasy option for Week 6 against the Ravens, but his fantasy outlook will gain some more clarity when the 49ers post their injury report next Wednesday.
Mason Taylor, TE, New York Jets
New York Jets rookie tight end Mason Taylor has seen his role in the team's offense grow with each week of the NFL season so far.
In Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys, Taylor set season highs in targets (12), catches (nine), and receiving yards (67). The 21-year-old now has 20 catches for 175 yards on 28 targets through five games, and he appears to be the clear number two option in the Jets' passing game behind star wide receiver Garrett Wilson.
Taylor should be rostered in all PPR leagues with 12 or more teams, although he does get a tough matchup in Week 6 against the Denver Broncos.
Hassan Haskins, RB, Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers running back Hassan Haskins has just 17 yards from scrimmage on six total touches this season, all of which came in Week 5 against the Washington Commanders. However, with Chargers' lead running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) potentially facing missed time after suffering an ankle injury in Week 5,
Haskins could see a significant increase in workload. If Hampton does indeed miss game action, Haskins and second-year back Kimani Vidal are the lead candidates for backfield playing time in Los Angeles. Vidal had his first five touches of the 2025 season in Week 5, recording 19 yards from scrimmage.
Pending more information coming out around Hampton's injury, Haskins is a waiver-wire name to monitor in deep leagues heading into a favorable Week 6 matchup against the Miami Dolphins.
