Week 5 Kicker Rankings Outlooks
Cameron Dicker, Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker remains a strong fantasy option with a high floor, despite only having one field goal attempt in the team's recent loss. Dicker is still perfect on all his field goal attempts (eight) and extra points this season, reinforcing his status as matchup-proof.
The Chargers' offense is widely expected to bounce back at home against a vulnerable Washington Commanders defense, leading to multiple scoring drives and more field goal opportunities than in their previous game. RotoBaller projects Dicker as K6 this week. Fantasy managers should trust this potent offense to rebound and can confidently start Dicker in their lineups.
Jake Bates, Detroit Lions
Detroit Lions kicker Jake Bates knocked in both his field goal attempts and all four extra-point tries in his team's Week 4 win over the Cleveland Browns. Bates continues to lead the league in extra-point attempts and makes while playing with the high-powered Lions' offense, which is averaging 34.3 points per game through the first four weeks of the season.
On paper, Detroit should be able to put up points again in Week 5 against the Cincinnati Bengals, who have allowed 29.8 points per game across their first four games. The weather in Cincinnati on Sunday also looks favorable for kicking, so Bates should be well-positioned for success in Week 5. Bates profiles as a must-start fantasy kicker this week against the Bengals.
Jason Myers, Seattle Seahawks
Seattle Seahawks kicker Jason Myers has been one of the better fantasy kickers thus far this season. His accuracy and the Seahawks' offensive effectiveness have resulted in a K3 standing with two outings of at least 13 fantasy points. That should not change in Week 5 when Seattle hosts the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Buccaneers have a solid, but not unmovable, defense.
The Seahawks should enjoy solid offensive output on Sunday, which will afford Myers several opportunities for field goals and extra points. There is a chance that Myers is still on waivers in your league, given that he is not always viewed as an elite fantasy option. He is likely one of the few set-and-forget kickers for as long as the Seahawks' offense continues to play at a high level. Start Myers with confidence in Week 5.
Jake Elliott, Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliott didn't put a ton of points on the board last Sunday against the Buccaneers, but he did stay perfect on the season by making his lone field goal attempt and all four of his extra points. While Elliott is yet to miss this season, it's not necessarily translating to much fantasy value. He faces the Denver Broncos in Week 5, a defense tied for second-best in the league in terms of opponent points per game (16.8). For right now, there are likely better kickers available in most fantasy leagues.
Jude McAtamney, New York Giants
New York Giants kicker, Jude McAtamney, should remain on the waiver wire in all fantasy formats despite a seemingly favorable matchup against the New Orleans Saints. The international kicker was perfect in his 2025 debut last week, making two short field goals and an extra point while filling in for the injured Graham Gano.
However, his roster spot is not secure as he competes with Younghoe Koo, and there are too many unknowns about his ability to handle pressure or long-distance kicks. While the Saints' defense allows the most points per game in the league (30.3), creating a high-scoring environment, McAtameny's uncertain role makes him too risky to trust.
Chase McLaughlin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Chase McLaughlin (illness) was added to the injury report late in the week, but he carries no game designation and is fully expected to play against the Seattle Seahawks. McLaughlin has been productive through four weeks, hitting nine of 12 field goal attempts, including a 65-yarder against Philadelphia in Week 4.
While his 75% field goal percentage ranks just 26th in the league, the Buccaneers' explosive offense has kept him busy, and he currently sits fifth among kickers in fantasy points. With Tampa Bay traveling to Seattle for what projects to be a close matchup, McLaughlin should once again see multiple scoring opportunities. Fantasy managers should treat him as a must-start option in Week 5.
Wil Lutz, Denver Broncos
Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz has solidified himself as a reliable kicker when called upon and will look to keep things going against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Unfortunately, this season, he hasn't had many opportunities to do much, averaging just 1.25 field goal attempts through four games. In Week 4, he only accounted for four extra points and wasn't asked to attempt a single field goal in the blowout versus the Bengals. The Eagles' defense could stall the Broncos' defense more often this week than the Bengals did in Week 4, potentially giving Lutz more field goal opportunities in a defensive matchup. It's still likely best to pivot elsewhere for kicker points in Week 5.
Chad Ryland, Arizona Cardinals
Arizona Cardinals kicker Chad Ryland has connected on eight of 10 field goal attempts and all eight of his extra-point tries through his first four games of 2025. Both he and the Cardinals should have plenty of opportunities to put points on the board in Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans, who are allowing an average of 30 points per game so far this season. Ryland also has the benefit of playing this week at home in Arizona, eliminating any weather concerns from the equation. The 25-year-old profiles as a low-end starting fantasy kicker option in Week 5 against Tennessee.
