Jett Williams Snaps Power Skid on Thursday
Jett Williams was able to snap his 12-game power skid on Thursday evening, during their contest against Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. In this contest, the top-ranked prospect in the system according to MLB.com went 2-for-5 with a home run. During his 12-game power skid, Williams held a modest .200/.259/.280 line with a low .539 OPS. Since joining Triple-A Syracuse, Williams has shown some growing pains, holding an overall .206/.254/.365 line. Earlier in the campaign, Williams looked quite comfortable at Double-A, posting an elite .281/.390/.477 slash line with 29 doubles, 10 home runs, and 32 stolen bases. If Williams can continue to turn the corner, he could be in the mix to join the Mets in their postseason run.
