Josh Naylor Won't Return on Friday
Josh Naylor (shoulder) is out of the team's starting lineup for Friday's series opener against the visiting Tampa Bay Rays at T-Mobile Park. Donovan Solano will man first base and hit seventh for the M's against Rays right-hander Drew Rasmussen. Naylor was pulled from Thursday's win over the Chicago White Sox early due to soreness in his left shoulder and he'll miss the first game of the series against Tampa as a result. Fantasy managers should consider the 28-year-old lefty slugger day-to-day for the time being. Since being acquired in a trade from the Arizona Diamondbacks, Naylor has gone 12-for-46 (.261) with three home runs, a double, six RBI, 10 stolen bases and eight runs in only 13 games. Naylor was a first-time All-Star in 2024 and is already at a career high for steals in 2025 with 21.
