Adley Rutschman a "Possibility" to Return This Weekend
Adley Rutschman (oblique) is a "possibility" to return from the 10-day injured list this weekend when the team plays a series against the Colorado Rockies, according to interim manager Tony Mansolino. Rutschman will catch for Triple-A Norfolk in a minor-league game on Wednesday and could be eased back in the designated hitter role after he's activated. The 27-year-old switch-hitting backstop has missed over a month with an oblique strain, but he's on the verge of a return to the Orioles to take over starting catching duties. Fantasy managers can only hope that the former first-rounder out of Oregon State can turn things around in the second half of the season, as he hit a disappointing .227 (55-for-242) with eight home runs, 20 RBI and 31 runs in the first half before his injury.
