Bailey Ober Allows Three Homers In Monday's Loss
Bailey Ober continued to struggle in Monday's 11-2 loss to the Mariners. Ober pitched seven innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits (including three home runs) and no walks with seven strikeouts. He also hit a batter. The 29-year-old has allowed at least four earned runs in each of his last four starts and has allowed at least one HR in each of his last five starts. He is now 4-5 with a 4.90 ERA, a 1.37 WHIP, a 7.19 K/9 rate, and a 1.77 HR/9 rate in 16 starts and 86 1/3 IP. His next scheduled start will be a tough matchup at the Tigers. Ober has offered a high fantasy floor throughout his career, except for this season. Fantasy managers may not have a choice but to sit him until he can show signs of that high floor again.
