Ryan Waldschmidt Homers in Back-to-Back Games
Ryan Waldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, two runs scored, and he got on base once via a hit by pitch. It was the second consecutive game with a home run for Arizona's third-ranked prospect and eighth home run of the season, now riding a six-game hit streak. The 22-year-old is slashing .272/.430/.461 in 56 games at High-A Hillsboro and is walking (46) more than he is striking out (43). The 31st pick in the 2024 MLB Draft has also stolen seven bases for the Hops, and with his all-around skillset, the 6-foot-2 should earn some at-bats at Double-A by season's end.
