Logan Gilbert Slated for One More Rehab Start at Triple-A
Logan Gilbert (elbow) is expected to make one more rehab start for Triple-A Tacoma before being activated from the 15-day injured list. The next start will come on Tuesday, so the timeline for his return lands sometime around June 16, when the Mariners will be facing the Red Sox in Seattle. The righty would likely take the spot of Emerson Hancock, who has pitched well as of late with a 2.91 ERA over his last four starts, or potentially Bryce Miller, who has been less effective, with a 5.36 ERA in nine starts. Gilbert made six starts before hitting the IL, posting a 2.37 ERA (1.71 xFIP), a 0.79 WHIP, and a 32.5 percent K-BB%. Fantasy managers will welcome him back with open arms after posting those kinds of numbers, although it will be tough to replicate those stats for the rest of the season.
