Coby Mayo Hits Home Run on Sunday
Coby Mayo went 2-for-5 with a home run during Sunday's contest against Triple-A Saint Paul. This was Mayo's third-straight game tallying at least one hit and second-straight game tallying at least two hits. The 23-year-old earned his second call to the majors earlier this season but only saw 12 at-bats during this brief taste. Since returning to the minor leagues, Mayo has been in a slump at the plate, holding a .167/.262/.333. However, his productive play this past weekend should help him break this slump. Before returning to Baltimore, Mayo was holding a .252/.346/.523 line with seven doubles and six long balls during his first 28 games of the Triple-A regular season. Fantasy managers should expect the slugging third baseman to remain in the mix to return to the majors throughout the season.
