Today, we review our mid-week waiver rankings for Week 5-- April 26 through May 4. This edition of waiver wire rankings features Luke Weaver, Caleb Durbin, Bubba Chandler, Tony Gonsolin, Matt Mervis, and David Bednar.
There are key performances, prospect promotions, and injuries to watch for this week. Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andy Pages has been on fire recently, hitting .545 (18-for-33) with four home runs, nine RBI, nine runs, and three stolen bases over his last eight games. Some injuries to watch include Los Angeles star outfielder Mike Trout, who is day-to-day with left knee soreness. Arizona Diamondbacks top prospect Jordan Lawlar continues to make his case for a promotion to the big leagues by slashing .381/.470/.690 with six home runs and 12 stolen bases across 28 games for Triple-A Reno.
