Welcome back, RotoBallers! The 2025 Minor League Baseball season is in full swing. During last week's action, there were plenty of big plays and impressive prospect performances throughout Minor League Baseball.

Monitoring the top fantasy baseball prospects who have turned heads thus far is imperative. The players listed here are coming off dominant weeks and have significant long-term upside. Don't be surprised when these exact names are painting corners, mashing homers, and swiping bags at the big league level soon.

Savvy fantasy managers looking for an edge in their leagues should watch these players over the long haul, as they may soon be excellent additions.

Daniel Susac, C, Athletics

Level: Triple-A
2025 stats: 13 G, .302/.351/.547, 3 HR, 10 RBI, 4 R, 0 SB, 7.0% BB%, 31.6% K%, .406 BABIP, .391 wOBA, 114 wRC+

Susac was selected in the first round of the 2022 MLB Draft out of Arizona. He boasts plus power but tends to chase too many pitches, leading to a staggeringly low walk rate and high strikeout rate. If he can refine his approach and cut down on chasing pitches, he has the potential to deliver average production at the plate. Defensively, he frames pitches well but registers below-average in terms of eliminating base-stealers.

This past week, Susac went 11-for-21 with two home runs and three doubles. He also drove in seven runs, drew two walks, and struck out three times. He only played in four games this past week, but still managed to record three multi-hit performances. His best game came on April 15 when he went 4-for-4 with two doubles and a home run.

It was an impressive week for Susac, and the Athletics don't have particularly elite production from their catchers at the major league level. However, Susac's chase problems are a very real concern, and he's not exactly an upgrade over Shea Langeliers, who has struck out 300 times since the start of 2023 (292 games). The 23-year-old has a good chance to make his MLB debut this season, but it's hard to envision him carving out anything more than a platoon job.

David Davalillo, SP, Texas Rangers

Level: High-A
2025 stats: 3 G, 3 GS, 0-0, 11.1 IP, 0.79 ERA, 1.71 FIP, 15.09 K/9, 2.38 BB/9, 0.00 HR/9, 36.8% GB%, .143 BABIP

Davalillo is one of the up-and-coming names on the prospect circuit. He has just started to earn some attention from national outlets, including Baseball America, which ranked him No. 17 in the Rangers farm system and subsequently wrote an article on him. Davalillo kicked off his pro career with a $30,000 deal with the Mets in 2021, but that pact was voided, and he latched on with the Rangers for one-third of that amount the next year.

The right-hander has bordered on spectacular over his last three minor league systems, demonstrating consistency and an ability to retire batters. Most of Davalillo's success is a result of his command, rather than an overpowering arsenal. There's a lot to like about his fastball when elevated, and his 12-6 curve boasts tremendous vertical break. However, his ability to locate his pitches with near-elite command is his most impressive trait.

Davalillo put his skills on display again last week as he made his third start of the season on April 18. The 22-year-old pitched five perfect innings while registering nine strikeouts. He has just one earned run through 11.1 frames this year and possesses the potential to be a future impact starter at the big league level.

Jace Bohrofen, OF, Toronto Blue Jays

Level: Double-A
2025 stats: 12 G, .255/.300/.511, 4 HR, 10 RBI, 8 R, 0 SB, 6.0% BB%, 34.0% K%, .308 BABIP, .367 wOBA, 131 wRC+

Bohrofen, a former Arkansas Razorback, was the Blue Jays' sixth-round pick in 2023. He possesses modest power and is capable of hitting to all parts of the field. He also runs well, allowing him to snag an occasional extra base when he puts a charge on something into the gap. There's some swing and miss in his game, though not as staggering as this year's 34 percent walk rate might suggest.

Bohrofen has primarily played right field so far, but his below-average arm could require him to move around the outfield. Left field seems like a reasonable eventual landing spot, but that's his defensive floor, and the Jays will surely continue to experiment with him in center and right. To his credit, Bohrofen's athleticism and ability to run well could allow him to meet expectations in center field.

This past week, Bohrofen went 9-for-26 with four home runs and nine RBI at Double-A New Hampshire. He also tallied two walks and four strikeouts. It's too early to tell whether Bohrofen can be an everyday major leaguer, but his latest results in the minors certainly opened some eyes.

Sean Linan, SP, Los Angeles Dodgers

Level: Single-A
2025 stats: 3 G, 2 GS, 1-1, 15.2 IP, 1.15 ERA, 1.34 FIP, 16.66 K/9, 1.71 BB/9, 0.00 HR/9, 45.8% GB%, .250 BABIP

Linan signed with the Dodgers out of Colombia in 2022. Still just 20 years old, he has delivered consistently strong results throughout parts of four seasons in the minors. He sits in the low-to-mid 90s with his fastball, and he complements the heater with a lethal slider. He rounds out his repertoire with an impressive changeup that misses plenty of bats. In addition to his advanced arsenal, Linan has repeatedly flashed above-average control and command.

In his third start of the season last week, Linan went 5.2 innings, striking out 10 batters while holding his opponent scoreless. He surrendered just one hit and one walk along the way. He has allowed just two earned runs through 15.2 innings in total this season, and he's striking out batters at an otherworldly 51.8 percent clip.

Linan's impressive results on the mound are nothing new, and they're certainly not an anomaly. He owns a career 11.73 K/9 rate in the minors, along with an impressive 0.61 HR/9 clip. One of the fastest-rising pitchers in the prospect sphere, Linan's biggest question mark is his long-term role. Only 13 of his 49 appearances have been as a starter, but there's no ignoring how great he's looked in the rotation.

Andy Garriola, OF, Chicago Cubs

Level: High-A
2025 stats: 13 G, .208/.283/.500, 4 HR, 9 RBI, 8 R, 5.7% BB%, 18.9% K%, .361 BABIP, .361 wOBA, 109 wRC+

Garriola was the Cubs' 17th-round pick out of Old Dominion in 2022. He launched 25 homers during his final collegiate season and has continued to showcase his power in the minors, going yard 33 times through 210 games between 2023 and 2024. He has also shown an ability to hit home runs to all parts of the field. Power is Garriola's primary trait at the plate as his discipline and contact skills continue to lag. He has averaged 3.64 K/BB in the minors and owns a poor .283 OBP so far this year.

With that said, Garriola did flash upside at the plate this past week, going 8-for-24 with four doubles, two home runs, and eight RBI. He also struck out four times and did not draw a walk during that span. The 25-year-old logged at least one hit in five of his six games last week, and he currently owns a four-game hitting streak.

Garriola's primary position is left field, and he's also spent plenty of time at designated hitter. As a result, he needs to develop into an advanced hitter to earn significant MLB playing time. Last week's four home runs (and his overall trend of hitting for power) are promising, but if his high strikeout rate and low walk rate persist, he won't spend much time in the majors, if any at all.
