Shavon Revel Visits With Texans On Friday
East Carolina University cornerback Shavon Revel (knee), who is a potential first-round target in this year's NFL draft, visited with the Houston Texans on Friday, a league source told KPRC's Aaron Wilson. Revel has also visited with the New Orleans Saints and is expected to meet with other team's during the draft process. The 22-year-old suffered a torn ACL in his knee last September, but he's expected to gain full medical clearance before training camp this summer. If he lands in Houston, he'd mostly likely serve as secondary depth for a team already loaded with cornerback talent. The 6-foot-2, 194-pounder had one interception, 54 tackles and 13 pass breakups two years ago with East Carolina. Revel brings length and speed but will likely slip to Day 2 just because of the fact that he's coming off a torn ACL.
