Philadelphia Flyers center Ryan Poehling (personal) will not play in Tuesday's matchup against Carolina. He has not joined the team for its three-game road trip, with Flyers head coach John Tortorella noting that Poehling is a little banged up and also currently dealing with a family situation. Poehling has been effective in a bottom-six role with the Flyers, recording five assists in 12 games while winning 50 percent of his faceoffs. His absence allows Nicolas Deslauriers to rejoin the action. He will make only his fifth appearance of the season on Tuesday. Deslauriers plays a physical game and has registered nine hits despite averaging barely over six minutes of ice time per game. Offensively, he's been limited to one assist with two shots on goal.--Taavi Pailk
