Tyler Lockett fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 1 (2024). Should you start or sit Tyler Lockett for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 14+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR4
ANALYSIS: Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett has been dealing with a leg issue for a couple of weeks now, but it appears that won't affect his Week 1 status against the Denver Broncos. Lockett told reporters on Monday that he'll be ready for the season opener. That is certainly good news for his fantasy value to start the season.
However, Lockett isn't necessarily a must-start in fantasy this week-- even in a great matchup against the Broncos secondary. For starters, the Seahawks wideout is already dealing with an injury entering the season.
While the veteran assured everyone he would be good to go for Week 1, he was still wearing a strap over his knee in Monday's practice. So, could we see him on somewhat of a snap count in his first game?
Tyler Lockett -
Appears to have a patellar tendon strap over his left knee. He has missed several weeks of practice. I’d anticipate him being able to play through this, but increases the likely workload Jaxon Smith-Njigba sees across from DK Metcalf

That's why Lockett is a risky play in all formats. In 14-plus team leagues, he could be a fine flex play for fantasy managers. The 31-year-old averaged 10.1 PPR fantasy points in the final seven games of the 2023 season.
