Abraham Toro Begins Working Out At Arizona Complex
Oakland Athletics third baseman Abraham Toro (hamstring) has begun working at the team's spring training complex in Arizona. Athletics skipper Mark Kotsay expressed that the 27-year-old could embark on a rehab assignment after the All-Star break. Toro was placed on the 10-day injured list on June 22 with a strained hamstring. Prior to the injury, Toro saw time in several defensive positions and held a .260/.303/.386 line with six home runs and three stolen bases. When he returns to the major leagues, he could be worth adding in deeper AL-only leagues due to positional flexibility.
