When is Max Meyer getting called up? Will Max Meyer play in June of this MLB season? Read about Max Meyer's debut date and fantasy baseball prospect updates for 2024.
The Miami Marlins are going nowhere fast. They have the second-worst record in all of baseball. They have already traded their leadoff hitter Luis Arraez and lost two of their best starting pitchers to injury for the season.
With it already being a lost season for the Marlins, is it time to see what they have with some of their top prospects?
Max Meyer is the top pitching prospect for Miami and it's been reported that he could be joining the club soon. Should you be stashing Meyer in fantasy baseball leagues?
Max Meyer Prospect Update for Fantasy Baseball
In case you missed it, Meyer already had a cup of coffee with Miami back in April when he made three starts and pitched quite effectively, compiling a 2.12 ERA and 0.82 WHIP while striking out 14 hitters across 17 innings.
Max Meyer has been in the minors for nearly two MONTHS.
At times, the Marlins rotation has done fine without him, but now there is a clear open spot again, and Meyer's recent starts have been "outstanding," per Skip Schumaker.

Miami sent him back to Triple-A as a way to help manage his innings and continue his development. Meyer had Tommy John surgery and Miami has been cautious with him as this season as a result. The former first-round pick has an elevated 6.85 ERA but has been cutting down hitters with 33 strikeouts in 23 innings.
Max Meyer Outlook for Fantasy Baseball
Meyer has very clearly shown that he's ready for the challenge of facing major league hitters. Miami is badly in need of some quality starting pitching and with the season approaching the halfway mark in the coming weeks, why wouldn't it want to give Meyer another look at the big league level?
Meyer makes another start at Triple-A today, but Marlins brass was quoted as saying he could join the major league team "soon."
Meyer is rostered in 21% of Yahoo leagues with his rostership increasing 5% just since yesterday when the soundbite about his promotion came out. The time to stash Meyer in fantasy baseball leagues is now, as he could be pitching for Miami in the next week and has the talent that could make him a very solid fantasy contributor for the rest of the season.

Brady House - Fantasy Baseball Prospects Waiver Wire Stashes (Week 12)
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-team leagues CALL-UP ETA: June ANALYSIS: The Nationals went viral on social media this week for making a fun call-up. They called up their bat dog from Triple-A. Andrew Painter - Fantasy Baseball Prospects Waiver Wire Stashes (Week 12)
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-team leagues CALL-UP ETA: June ANALYSIS: Painter's last two starts don't give a ton of confidence that he is ready to be in the majors. It may not even be before the All-Star break before we see him, but that does not mean we are in stash territory. The good news is, […]

Colby Thomas - Fantasy Baseball Prospects Waiver Wire Stashes (Week 12)
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ team leagues CALL-UP ETA: July ANALYSIS: The A's continue to lose, and Colby Thomas continues to hit homers in Triple-A.
