NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 4/30/24

The race for Lord Stanley continues, with names etched into history. Tonight, we have a four-game slate and no teams playing on a back-to-back. The currently live top-three highest implied team totals are Carolina with 3.5, Colorado with 3.4, and Winnipeg with 3.2. I will do my best to guide you through this four-game slate on DraftKings and FanDuel starting at 7:00 p.m. EDT.

DISCLOSURE: Make sure to monitor the NHL news feeds for the latest player status and injury news.

Playoff Series To-Date

Toronto Maple Leafs at Boston Bruins: Boston is leading 3-1

New York Islanders at Carolina Hurricanes: Carolina is leading 3-1

Colorado Avalanche at Winnipeg Jets: Colorado is leading 3-1

Nashville Predators at Vancouver Canucks: Vancouver is leading 3-1

DraftKings and FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks

Arturs Silovs - DK $7.8K || FD $7.8K

Opponent - Nashville Predators

It is not always professional to have personal opinions when writing, but EVERYONE better be on Arturs Silovs tonight. There couldn’t be a better narrative. Both Thatcher Demko and Casey DeSmith look to be out for a second straight game. In the playoff debut for Silovs, he made 27 saves, conceded three goals, and had a 0.900 Save Percentage.

In his last five starts -- including one postseason game -- he has a 4-0-1 record with a 2.58 Goals Against Average and a 0.886 Save Percentage. The Predators are not the best when assessing raw value in Shots Per Goal Per 60; however, Silovs is expected to be playing with nothing but adrenaline, making his second straight playoff start with the potential to secure the first round at home.

Others To Consider (Cash/GPP):

  • Andersen (DK $8.4K || FD $8.5K)
  • Samsonov (DK $7.3K || FD $7.3K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks

Sebastian Aho - DK $7.4K || FD $8.7K

Opponent - New York Islanders

There are a few routes to go tonight at the center position; however, Sebastian Aho is the featured player. Throughout his most recent five games – four postseason games – he has three goals, one assist, 13 shots, and three blocked shots. Aho has one of the best line matchups on the entire slate, going up against the middle six of the New York Islanders. The visitors are coming into Carolina with their back up against the wall with a subpar at best defense. In four games against the Islanders this season -- including the postseason -- Aho has three goals, one assist, and nine shots. Expect the center to produce three shots and one point.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Tavares (DK $5.9K || FD $7.9K)
  • Mittelstadt (DK $3.8K || FD $5.5K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Wings - NHL DFS Picks

Artturi Lehkonen - DK $5.3K || FD $7K

Opponent - Winnipeg Jets

While everyone zigs, let's zag with Artturi Lehkonen. In his last five appearances -- four postseason games -- he has four goals, four assists, 21 shots, and two blocked shots. Believe it or not, Colorado’s second line is producing more than its top line; however, it shouldn't come as too big of a surprise, considering the line matchup this series. With a series-clinching scenario in Winnipeg and Lehkonen the primary shooter on the second line, expect the winger to generate three shots and one point at the very least.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Boeser (DK $6K || FD $7.3K)
  • Niederreiter (DK $3.4K || FD $4.9K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Defensemen - NHL DFS Picks

Brady Skjei - DK $4.7K || FD $5.8K

Opponent - New York Islanders

Brady Skjei has underperformed so far in this series against the New York Islanders; however, he is still being featured due to his skill set and potential. Throughout his most recent five games -- four postseason games -- he has four assists, 12 shots, and seven blocked shots. Skjei is another player in a series-clinching scenario, although he is at home. As mentioned above, the Islanders will be desperate for anything, leading to an expected uptick in shots, which means more chances for Skjei to rack up blocked shots. The two-way defenseman is expected to produce two shots and three blocked shots.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Dobson (DK $5.8K || FD $6.3K)
  • Fabbro (DK $3K || FD $3.5K)
