NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 4/27/24
We have finally made it!! The race for Lord Stanley continues, with names etched into history. Tonight we have a three-game slate and no teams playing on a back-to-back. The currently live top-three highest implied team totals are, Toronto with 3.1, Tampa Bay with 3.1 and Florida with 3. I will do my best to guide you through this three-game slate on DraftKings and FanDuel starting at 5:00 p.m. EDT.

Florida Panthers at Tampa Bay Lightning: Florida is leading 2-1

DraftKings and FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks
Logan Thompson - DK $7.7K || FD $8K
Opponent - Dallas Stars
Through two postseason performances, Logan Thompson has been a rock in the net for the Golden Knights, posting a 2-0 record, a 2.00 Goals Against Average and a 0.920 Save Percentage. Dating it back to his last five starts – including two postseason games – and he has a 4-1 record with a 2.22 Goals Against Average and a 0.915 Save Percentage. Throughout the postseason thus far, the Stars are in the bottom three in Goals For Per 60 and the bottom five in Shots For Per 60. Luckily, there is a small gap in between the two metrics for added value in saves, but not by much. Thompson will need a strong outing in the first home game of the postseason.

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks
Anton Lundell - DK $4K || FD $5.2K
Opponent - Tampa Bay Lightning
Shocker, Anton Lundell makes a return in back-to-back articles. In the first game after being promoted to take over teammate and center Sam Bennett’s duties, Lundell posted one assist, zero shots and one blocked shot in the 5-3 loss in Tampa. Unfortunately, he did not produce as expected, however, his salary remains too low to pass over. In his last five games – including three postseason games –, he has one goal, two assists, six shots and two blocked shots. Even if Lundell were to have back-to-back poor performances – not expected –, he will be one of the highest-owned players on the slate at any position, making up for it.

Carter Verhaeghe - DK $6.2K || FD $8.6K
Opponent - Tampa Bay Lightning
Now, Anton Lundell’s linemates beg to differ. Carter Verhaeghe had a stellar performance in Game Three, posting two assists, three shots and one blocked shot. Now in his last five outings – including three postseason games –, he has three goals, four assists, 18 shots and three blocked shots. Verhaeghe is the heartbeat of Florida’s second line and it shows. With zero lineup changes expected to be made on either end of the ice, the winger lines up in yet another good matchup, where he is expected to produce three shots and one point.

Noah Hanifin - DK $4.8K || FD $6.2K
Opponent - Dallas Stars
Lastly, star defenseman, Noah Hanifin makes it back into the article. After a brief stint away, Hanifin returns in top form. Throughout his last five appearances – two postseason games –, he has one goal, five assists, five shots and eight blocked shots. Considering this is the first home game of the postseason for Vegas and Dallas will look to spoil it, there is a narrative for Hanifin to produce a handful of peripherals in this fast-paced meeting. Expect the two-way defenseman to generate two shots and three blocked shots.
