Today's MLB Betting Picks - White Sox @ Royals
O/U: 9 | Moneyline: KC -205

We have a division rivalry in this one where the Kansas City Royals are heavily favored against Chris Flexen and the Chicago White Sox, and for good reason. Flexen has struggled throughout his career, especially last season as he posted a 6.86 ERA across 16 starts. He also had a rough outing to begin 2024 as he allowed four earned runs and three walks across 4 1/3 innings pitched.
The Royals have started 2024 in good form as they have posted a wRC+ mark of 111 vs. right-handers, which ranks 12th-best in baseball. They have also posted a .724 OPS vs. righties, which ranks them 12th-best as well. On top of going up against Flexen, the Royals get to face a White Sox pen that has posted a 5.09 ERA across seven games. There are a number of bets to consider in this game for the Royals, including the run line (-102) and their team total of 4.5 -135.
I am going to back Wacha and the Royals in this game and take the run line against a White Sox team that has posted just an 80 wRC+ vs. righties thus far in 2024 and is likely to be without their best player in Luis Robert.

Today's MLB Betting Picks - Orioles @ Pirates

The Baltimore Orioles will be facing left-hander, Bailey Falter, who posted a 5.36 ERA across 14 starts in 2023 and started 2024 by allowing six earned runs across four innings pitched vs. the struggling Miami Marlins.
Baltimore has not started mashing lefties just yet as they have posted an 88 wRC+ across their first 86 PA, but they have posted a walk rate of 11.6%, which tells me they are seeing the ball well. They also posted a 112 wRC+ vs Southpaws in 2023, which ranked them 8th-best in baseball.
Today feels like a great day to back Tyler Wells and the Orioles against Bailey Falter with expectations that they start to break out vs. the left-hander. The price is set relatively low here as well at -135.
